What BalVault Is
BalVault is desktop software for Windows that pulls your financial account balances through SimpleFIN Bridge and writes them to a CSV file on your computer. It is a one-time purchase of $29. No subscription. No recurring fees. You pay once and the software is yours.
License
Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use BalVault on up to 3 machines. If you need to install on a new or replacement computer and have reached the limit, contact support for a reset. BalVault is for personal use only — not for commercial redistribution, resale, or use as part of a service you offer to others.
Free Trial
BalVault offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. The trial is limited to 2 accounts but is otherwise fully functional. Use the trial to confirm BalVault works with your bank and fits your workflow before purchasing.
Refunds
Because the 14-day free trial lets you fully evaluate BalVault before paying, all sales are final once an activation key has been used. If the trial worked for you, the paid version will too — it's the same software. If you encounter a technical issue, contact support and we'll work with you to resolve it.
SimpleFIN Bridge
BalVault relies on SimpleFIN Bridge, a separate third-party service, to connect to your financial institutions. SimpleFIN Bridge costs $1.50 per month and is billed directly by SimpleFIN. BalVault is not affiliated with SimpleFIN, and we make no guarantees about SimpleFIN Bridge's availability, accuracy, or continued operation. If SimpleFIN Bridge changes its pricing, API, or discontinues service, BalVault's ability to fetch balances may be affected.
No Warranty
BalVault is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that BalVault will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every financial institution or system configuration. We are not responsible for any financial decisions made based on data exported by BalVault. Always verify balances against your bank's official records.
Your Data
BalVault does not store, transmit, or access your financial data on our servers. We don't have servers that hold your data. Your SimpleFIN setup token is stored in a local SQLite database on your PC. Your account balances are written to a CSV file you specify. Nothing is sent to BalVault. You are solely responsible for backing up your own data.
Updates
Your $29 purchase includes all future updates to BalVault. There are no upgrade fees, no annual maintenance charges, and no version tiers. We release updates to fix bugs, improve performance, and add features — not to extract more money from you.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page. Continued use of BalVault after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
